White Sulphur Springs is a small, family-friendly ranching community located halfway between Glacier and Yellowstone National Parks at the junction of US Hwy 12 and the Kings Hill Scenic cyway (US Hwy 89). WWS offers small town living while two of Montana's larger cities, with all their amenities, are not far away. Great Falls lies 65 miles to the north and the capital city of Helena is 110 miles to the southwest.
The schools offer small classes with quality teachers and activities, such as various sports options and school clubs. Organized youth activities, like 4-H, Scouting and teen production groups are also available.
Recreational opportunities include skiing, snowmobiling, fishing, hunting, golfing, camping, mountain biking and hiking. There is a natural hot mineral springs in town at the Spa Hot Springs Motel, open to the public year round. The Big Belt, Little Belt and Castle Mountains surround us, with thousands of acres of public access and seven campgrounds nearby in the Lewis & Clark National Forest. There are many ghost towns, old gold & silver mines, railroads and Victorian era historical sites.
